Real Life Research...
This past week I went to 18 Fringe shows. I didn't see everything I would have liked to, but I saw a good cross-section. Other than a dance recital (Tap Attack) and a stand-up routine (Don't Make Fun of Jesus) all the shows I saw were plays, many of them new works. It gave me a good idea of what works for the Fringe - practically anything. Double, Double would work well as it is the same kind of idea as 25 Plays About.... Love. From Something *(Cropping & Embossing) would work wonderfully there if it is executed well. Zachary and the Story-Telling Stones would also thrive as the children's shows are very well-attended. Execution however, is very, very important as is marketing. Seeing is important. It was good field research.
